Gallimycin®-100 (erythromycin) Availability - Update

Bimeda is pleased to announce the return of Gallimycin-100 (erythromycin) for this upcoming spring cattle treatment season. This sterile, injectable antibiotic is indicated for the treatment of bovine respiratory disease (shipping fever complex and bacterial pneumonia) associated with Pasteurella multocida organisms sensitive to erythromycin. The backorder of Gallimycin-100 (erythromycin) was due to the lack of a necessary ingredient required to produce this injectable antibiotic. The ingredient supply situation has been corrected, product manufactured and all backorders at the distribution level have been alleviated.
Bimeda realizes that many cattle producers incorporate Gallimycin-100 (erythromycin) into their treatment program. We apologize for the past delay in providing product to the market on a timely basis and appreciate the patience shown by the customer base. A substantial finished goods inventory of the product is now in place to meet the cattle producers’ needs well into the future.

Bimeda®, Inc. is announcing the renewed availability of Dexium Tablets. Each tablet contains 0.25 mg dexamethasone and is approved as an anti-inflammatory agent for use in dogs and cats. Dexamethasone is a synthetic analogue of prednisolone. It acts similarly to prednisolone but has more potent anti-inflammatory, hormonal and metabolic effects. It is described chemically as 9-alpha-fluoro, 16-alpha-methyl prednisolone. Dexium Tablets are packaged in 100-count and 1000-count jars, 12 jars per shipper. Bimeda®, Inc. is announcing the renewed availability of GALLIMYCIN-PFC (erythromycin) – Poultry Formula Concentrated Water Soluble. Each 250 gm package contains 65 gm of erythromycin phosphate equivalent to 57.8 gm erythromycin. The product is approved for the following indications:
In broilers and replacement chickens: As aid in the control of Chronic Respiratory Disease due to Mycoplasma gallisepticum susceptible to erythromycin.
In replacement chickens and chicken breeders: As an aid in the control of Infectious Coryza due to Haemophilus gallinarium susceptible to erythromycin.
In growing turkeys: As an aid in the control of Bluecomb (Non-specific Infectious Enteritis) caused by organisms susceptible to erythromycin.
Each 250 gm package will medicate 130 gallons of drinking water and is supplied 30 packages per shipper.
